Gaither constantly strives to introduce new and specialized tools into the tire, trucking and automotive industries that assist with all of the tough jobs found in those shops. As a result, unique products, only offered by Gaither, find their place and solve unique problems that technicians deal with. For instance, the Wheel Floater is a tool that allows a technician to remove or replace a tire/wheel assembly off of or onto a vehicle without having to lift it. The scissor-like action is initiated by cylinders that do all of the lifting for you, therefore protecting the technician – and the company – from unnecessary injuries and claims. Another product recently released is the Wheel Breaker Kit. This product is designed to force wheels apart that have become seized together by oxidation, road salt / chemicals, etc. The hydraulic cylinder is placed between the two wheels (or between the inside wheel and frame) and forces them apart by pumping the hydraulic hand pump. The alternative is beating on the tire and wheel with hammers or prying with bars, both of which can be dangerous to the technician and damaging to the equipment. It is constant innovation and ideology that sets Gaither apart from the competition. |
