Proper lubrication is a necessity in any tire shop, big or small. Gaither is proud to offer two different lubricants that fit the needs and conditions of all shop sizes. Whether its off-the-road tires in zero-degree weather or high-performance tires with little to no sidewall, Gaither has a lubricant to do the job right.

Gaither’s Super Slick’em (#12904) is a non-water based lubricant that penetrates between the tire and wheel making bead breaking and demounting much easier than when traditional lubes are used. Because it does not contain water, Super Slick’em (#12904) has a much lower freezing point and can be used when other lubes need to be thawed.

Gaither’s standard Slick’em (#12954), in contrast, is a water-based lubricant that becomes tacky as it dries to ensure wheel slippage does not occur. Slick’em (#12954) is made with rust inhibitors to fight oxidation, and is packaged freight-friendly with two gallons of product in a five gallon pail. The end-user then adds three gallons of water to produce five gallons of product. Keep an eye out as well, for our Universal Mounting Paste – coming soon!
